If you’re in charge of organizing the bachelorette party or weekend, you’ll need a strategy.
A bachelorette party may be planned in seven steps;
1. Guest List
Keep in mind that this isn’t your party. You may be tempted to bring all of your favorite people together, but you should consider the friends and family of the bride-to-be. Of course, the size of the guest list will depend on the location and the activities you are planning to do.
Some people plan according to their guest list and others to their location; it depends on what the bride find to be more important. If, for example, the bride wanted a day out on a boat, there would be a limit of 40 people.
2. Location
When selecting a location, there will be different factors to consider… for example, the climate or the activity you will want to do. If you want to surprise the bride, you may want to ask her a few general questions to narrow down your choices. Do you want to party in a club? Or have a day out on a boat? Some prefer sports- hiking or skiing. Consider everyone’s budget too, because, for example, not everyone will be able to fly to Las Vegas, so if you choose big things, make sure that you are not alone at the party.
3. The Date
For this, you should discuss with the bride to select different dates that will work for her. Then create an online poll to allow your guests to vote. From there, you can select the final date; keep in mind that the choice of date differs; if you are planning a trip, for example, you want to start planning for 6 months.
4. Booking
For almost any activity that you choose to do, you will have to book because you will be a group of a minimum of 15 persons and most of the time there will be a requirement for booking (plus it is more comforting to know that it is already booked).
If you are traveling, you will have to book an air ticket, hotel rooms and maybe rent a car. I recommend that you look for a house rental over hotel rooms. It allows you to have privacy and also you can be free to party with no strangers around.
However, if you are booking accommodation, whether a hotel room or a house, you should consult everyone. To know how much they are willing to spend.
5. Activities
There are a lot of activities that can be done for a bachelorette party – hanging out in a bar, spa activities, yoga, or picnic. If you plan a weekend, it is best to schedule around two to three activities. Keep in mind that you will be exhausted, so it is important to keep some time to rest.
6. Group Meals
If you are eating at ‘home’, it shall not be a problem; you can schedule who will cook and distribute the chores, but if you are planning to eat out, you should book a table or two – depending on the group. Do not go out to eat without booking. You may find yourself coming back home eating instant noodles.
7. Attendance
You should confirm your attendance at least four months before the party. The host should be able to start planning the activities. Everyone should contribute when they confirm their presence because you will plan accordingly, and if one cancels last minute, everyone else will be penalized.
